The Maverick King: Edward II
This book tells the exciting and emotional story of a king who was believed to be dead, but may have actually escaped and lived in secret. Based on an authenticated Papal document found in France, this book suggests that King Edward II did not die in prison, as is commonly believed. Instead, he escaped and embarked on a perilous journey to stay alive. The story begins after the famous Battle of Bannockburn, where Edward suffers a significant defeat and must flee for his life. Disguised as a poor priest, he travels across Scotland with two trusted friends. Along the way, he meets Meg, a brave young woman who changes his life. As Edward avoids his enemies and struggles to survive, he also finds love and learns what truly matters.
Full of adventure, romance, and historical twists, The Maverick King shows a different side of a king often misunderstood. It’s a powerful story about hope, freedom, and finding your true self, even when the world thinks you’ve lost everything.
“Thus passes away the glory of the world.”
